11th October 2005 - Slacking Day
Hello everybody.... first and for all.. a 'eventful' weekend for me... went for a short shopping session with fenmei on fri.. after fYP @ orchard.. initial plan was to get a new pair of shorts and flip flop.. but end up only managed to get my flip flop.. but it's ok.. and yeah.. it happen that the new paper new face was held @ taka atrium on fri itself.. and so we stood there to watch for awhile.. i took a few shots.. but i guess i del it away already.. gotta go home and find it... and yeah.. i told fenmei i will be joing the new face in 2 years time when i turn 21... and that's provided i SLIM DOWN.. damn.. soooo difficult... but anyway.. we had our dinner.. walk around.. had ice cream.. walk around.. den home we are... a freaking long journey home.. spent a long time waiting for bus 147...
woke up @ 10+ on sat morning.. washed up changed and went to NTUC to buy some snacks... to be brought to ubin... SillyBoy together with me.. and 3 of his friends.. went all the way to ubin.. to spend a night there... to spend the kampung life there.. we pitch tent... do field cooking.. burn firewood.. yeah.. all in the nature... relax and yet fun... at least something different from the urban.... woo hoo~~~ alex helped SillyBoy to bring over some remaining stuffs i left at SillyBoy place after his birthday BBq.. we prepare some sandwiches (chicken and egg mayo) had a late breakfast... and we left our place @2pm odd.. we took bus 72 to go tampines to meet up with Wee kwang and adeline after which we took bus 29 to changi jetty...
upon reaching the ubin jetty.. we took the van to fetch us to the Pular Nordin beach.. which cost us $20 for 5 persons, to-and-fro trip.. if u're walking in from the jetty.. u will need about 30mins.. but if u're going in by car.. about 5-10mins.. we're carrying lotsa stuffs.. so of coz we chose to pay... we pitch a tent.. clear up the shelter in front of the tent... light up some mosquito coil.. pick some twits, firewood for the night activity.. had out dinner.. supper.. and the activities goes on...
woke up @ 5+am on sun morning.. coz it was simply raining very heavily.. and we sense that.. the tent is going to be flooded with water anytime.. and so.. we pack our stuffs and ran into the shelter... just for ur info... the 2 couples(me+SillyBoy & Weekwang&adeline) sleep in the tent and alex sleep on his hanmock.. and yeah.. the rain stop in less than an hour time... we clean up those rubbish and stuffs we left in the shelter.. had a light breafast... fold up the tent... and waited for the van to come at 8am and fetch us to the ubin jetty... we reach @ the jetty.. and realised tht there was nobody there... as the bumboats to the changi jetty will only starts when they have 12 passengers.. but there is only 5 of us here.. so it's either u pay the different or u wait.. and so.. we chill out at the near by coffeeshop.. after which we walk over to the jetty... and together we waited for about 45 mins or so.. b4 we reach a number of 13 passengers... woohoo~~
after we reach changi jetty... we parted our way.. wee kwang, alex and adeline return the west side of singapore.. whereas SillyBoy and i came back to my home @ hougang... i would conclude this ubin trip as a memorable 1.. coz i had been wanting to go back to pular ubin since dunno when... be it for hike.. cycling or wat so ever.. but always couldnt get the right kakis.. and yeah.. the last time i've been there was like when i was 15.. during my SJAB annual camp.. there to hike.. and once again.. ncoc is going back to pular ubin again this year!! hurray!! i dunno for y.. i just love the way ubin is.. and yeah... alex used to be the president of ngee ann poly Adventure Club.. thus he know lotsa things/games to do with the nature.. thus we had a good good time.. and we were saying that... we will be going back to ubin this weekend.. well.. dunno how true.. we shall see again... yeah.. hee hee
it was already 9+am when we board the SBS bus 29 to tampines.. i was suppose to leave for zoo @ 10am.. as promise to my eldest bro.. reach home @ about 10.20am... SillyBoy and i took turn to bath.. and prepare for awhile.. den we left for zoo together with Mummy and kor kor...
i couldnt remember when was the last time i went to zoo either... but i know the last time was during the days im still in primary school.. the zoo didnt change much either.. somehow or rather still the same.. and yeah.. so basically.. we just walk around the whole zoo.. 'animal-seeing'... we reached the zoo at about 12.30pm.. and we left at about 5.30pm.. and before we left.. we bought a 3 ice-creams from the Ben & Jerry ice-cream shop.. i believe it's the one and only in singapore... hmmm.. and after the sweet treats... took a cab home.. i was quite sleepy thru out the whole day @ the zoo.. that explains why i reach home.. i bathed.. and drop dead on the sofa.. leaving SillyBoy hanging around couldnt do much.. im sorRY!!!
and yet today is the 2nd week of FYP.. gosh.. how fast it is man.. it seems like yesterday was the day 1 of fYP.. and now it's already week 2.. enjoy enjoy enjoy.. im starting to learn to enjoy FYp.. and yeah.. of coz starting to tolerate how 'possessive' kuanko is.. oh.. did i mentioned that.. the other day.. i ran out @ 10am for tea break with my classmate.. and he called me like 4 times on my hP within an hour... nice nice... that's him.. kuanko.. and today when i was out for break @10am.. he called again.. damn.. but i told him i went for early lunch break.. haha... also it's only today then i realised that kuanko is a christian.. maybe for pple who dunno him will think 'well so what's up with being a christian?'... but for those who knows... i guess the 1st reaction will be 'hhuh?? christian?" well.. at least.. that was my first reaction.. just came back for noon tea break... this time kuanko didnt call.. i guess he's not around in sch already.. coz it seems like he always leave early.. woo hoo.. so i will go home early today also.. maybe 30mins earlier.. yeah yeah...earlier on was laughing like shit in the canteen.. all thanks to the jokes from the guys!! damn it... all my girl friends are away for IAP.. so during this 1 month b4 school starts.. i could only have all these guys to accompany me for breaks.. and yeah.. thye're a bunch of jokerS!! my classmateS!!
yeah.. times flies.. i took a few hours to blog today.. i think is start to blog @ 12+pm... and now the time is already like 4.30pm... all thanks to the photos.. the IE hangs for every few pics i load.. damn it.. im exhausted.. thus i decided to post only SillyBoy's birthday celebration and the ubin pictures in this entry.. most of the pic i took @ the zoo are animal pics.. thus i dun think many pple are interested.. so i will see when i have the mood.. den i'll post it up.. so please please appreciate the pictures that comes together with this entry.. till den.. cya
